Well..to make long story short...NOT:lmao: My beloved Eagles are playing Saturday night at 8pm..we were supposed to eat at Coral Reef at 645 but I changed it due to the game timing and all. We decided to go to Raglan Road for an earlier reservation. We have never been..any suggestions for food.

Also, do they have TV's there?? Just wondering because its a pub and we'd love to watch some of the earlier game while there. We are hoping to go to ESPN zone to watch the Eagles game...they shouldn't even have to play..we would have had a bye if they hadn't stunk up the world yesterday:scared1:

Just eat at the ESPN club. RR is fun, but the food is just so-so and its not a sports bar.

Thanks Bill..but we don't want to eat at espn..we will have 3 kids with us for dinner..we plan to leave them back at the treehouse villa with my mil after dinner to go and watch the game.

We really enjoy Raglan Road. It is really pretty and the food is great. I have never noticed TV's there - but I am not sure.
It will be great for an early dinner with your family.
One word of caution however, you may find it difficult to get into ESPN near game time. People do line up for a long time during the big games.
Good Luck

We ate at Raglan on Christmas Day evening. We really enjoyed the food....I had Its Not Bleedin' Chowder which is a seafood chowder, dd had a steak, dniece had a hamburger (which looked great), ds had chicken fingers off the kids menu and they were fabulous, and dh had the shepherd's pie. We all enjoyed it...not to mention we enjoyed the entertainment. :goodvibes Dniece's boyfriend is one of the musicians....but that was the first time we had eaten at RR (despite having one here in KC).

I was worried about ESPN zone being really crowded...We wouldn't be getting there until close to game time so maye we should just watch in our villa..there is a flat screen tv so I guess it wouldn't be too bad;) I will talk to my husband and see what he wants to do. I thought the menu looked really good and we have been meaning to try this place.

We ate at RR in December. It was really good.

I would go back again just for the scallop appetizer! AMAZING! We ordered the Appetiser D'Lirrah for Two. The scallops alone were worth it. (Can you tell I REALLY liked them??:rotfl:) The chicken skewers were seriously overcooked and dried out. The ribs were sweet, sticky and tasty. They were especially good dipped in one of the two side sauces.

I had steak, onion straws and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were bland and tasteless but I ended up eating DDs Garlic Mac n Cheese (kids dish) that she did not like. It was too garlicy for her although I could not taste a bit of it and wished I had ordered that as a side.

DP ordered the Shepherd's Pie and you could smell the Guiness that was added. It was beautifully presented and tasted much better with the mashed potatoes than the steak as the flavor of the pie added to the mashed potatoes.

DS ordered the shimp and chips. There were 3 shrimp on his plate! We ended up sharing our meals with him.

DSIL ordered Goats Town which she described as just heavenly. The berry compote added just enough sweetness to the dish to make it just divine in her opinion.

DBIL had the Crock O'Mussels. Now his dish was great he loved it but as he pointed out to us as we finished the meal that is all it was - a plate of mussels and broth. We all realized that there were no vegetables as a stde nothing. Very strange. :)

Cashel Salad and the Serious Sirloin Steak are both delicious. My kids had burgers and fries and didn't complain. We love Raglan Road and make a point to go there each time we visit. Enjoy!

RR is one of our favorites too. I always order the Its Not Bleedin Chowder. If you like seafood, you will love this dish! The men in our family like Kevin's Ham. For dessert, Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding is the winner! DH liked the Toffee Cake, but I don't think they have that anymore.

We agree about the scallops! They are YUMMO!

First I would like to say "GO EAGLES!!!!" I hope they kick the cowboys butt...secondly I would like to say we LOVE Raglan Road. It is one of our new favorites. We have gone twice in our past 2 visits and will be a must do from now on. A few of our favorites are the guiness stew, its not bleeding chowder and the guiness ribs. We have 2 boys, 14 and 12 and they want to go everytime we go back they love it that much. The only problem will be that it is a restaurant, so no TV's to watch the game....

I am hoping for a better week for the Eagles, I dont want to see them play like they played (or didnt play) last week.

Have fun neighbor!!!

enjoy

I just posted pictures and a review on my blog if you are at all interested. The link is in my signature and it is on the right under Restaurant reviews. :)

Well I had no idea that Raglan Road had a Kansas City location and I am totally excited by that! When we went we didn't love the food. Hubby and I both got the Shepherd's Pie and I didn't like it at all. But I would go back just for the bread pudding. I have been fantasizing about having it since our trip in September and am so excited I don't have to wait until next November to actually be in Disney to try it!

I love love Raglan Road. It is one of my favs. Love their fish and chips as well as bangers and mash. They also have my favorite beer that I got hooked on while visiting London.

However, if you want to watch TV. ESPN is a better bet. TV's everywhere. They don't play College football much. Everytime we go there with plans to see FSU play on tv, it doesn't work out. On the other hand I did get to watch a surfing competition.:)

If it is the DDxP I think you can as long as it is 2 people ordering it as the appetizer. We paid OOP for it when we went as we were on the DDP plan.

:)
Great, we'll have DDxP. Trying to decide between Wolfgang or Raglan. Sounds like we can't go wrong with RR, especially for the kids.
