We just got in tonight, and immediately after checking in at Pop Century we headed straight for our 7:00 ADR at Raglan Road. We were seated right away in the main room, which is gorgeous. Our servers were friendly and efficient. There were six people in our party - me, hubby, 18yo DD, 18yo DD's best friend, and my Mom and Dad.
Dad's the only beer drinker in the group, and he was delighted to find that they have Smithwick (if I'm remembering that right) on tap. For appetizers, we had 2 Colpuccino soups and 1 order of the ribs - all wonderful, as was the soda bread and guinness reduction/olive oil dip.
The girls split split a steak, which they loved - they said it was really tender. I had the Tricolor Salad, which I loved. Hubby had Kevin's Kudos (roast loin of bacon), which he loved. I had a bite of it, and I loved it too. Do you sense a theme developing here? Mom had the Pie in the Sky, which she loved. She said the chicken in it could have been more tender, but the broth was so good it made up for it. Dad had the mussels, which he loved, especially the broth.
As wonderful as the appetizers and entrees were, they were outshined by the dessert. We got 2 orders of Bread and Butter Pudding for the table. Oh My Gosh. That was incredible. The bread pudding was good all by itself, but what really made it was the butterscotch and Irish cream sauces that come with it to pour on top. We were all crazy about this dessert.
Concerning the sizes of the helpings, we all thought they were generous - certainly none of us left hungry. Concerning the DDE card - we asked if it was accepted, and were told that it will be in about a month, as well as AP and DVC discounts. For tonight, however, we were happy to have one of the Clear Channel gift certificates.
To sum up -
Raglan Road = beautiful surroundings, friendly and efficient staff, and great food. We would absolutley come back again.
