We just ate there a week ago and the fish and chips were great. We booked a table to coincide with the band and the Irish dancer. Our eight year old daughter loved the dancing and at the table behind us there was a girl of no more than four years of age who really enjoyed the dancer. She was imitating the folk dancing steps during every song. Be forewarned, however, that this is a bar type atmosphere and the facility is divided into different rooms. If you want a view of the band and the dancer then you might have to wait to get a table that will do that for you. We told them that was our request when we checked in at the restaurant and we waited an additional 20 minutes to get that seating. But, the hostess then tried to walk us to a table in a different room, which we refused. The restaurant is cold, so bring a sweater and be prepared to take your time once you're in there. The service is very slow. Frankly, we found the service lacking at just about every WDW restaurant that we went to. It took two hours to get through dinner at Ragland and we didn't even stay for the dessert that we ordered because it was already taking another twenty minutes before we finally cancelled that. The waitress kept apologizing, but we were trying to get our DD to some Downtown Disney shops before they closed, so we just couldn't wait any longer. Another warning, the ranch dressing is very strong and actually quite different in flavor than what you might be used to. If your child is planning to order the mac-n-cheese, ask for a small sample for them to try first because it, too, has a rather unique flavor. All in all, we enjoyed the meal. I really enjoyed the fish and chips and could heartily recommend that selection.
