Yes. It is very busy. You may get in without an ADR but it will be a long wait. You can also sit at the bar and eat if you wish without an ADR if there is a seat open

We always get one, 5:30 on Oct 15 this time, but we actually prefer to sit and eat at the bar and every time there, in March and Oct., we find 2 stools together. If you want a table, get the ressie. BTW, you can go to the RR site and reserve there without needing a credit card.

We were able to get a same day reservation for a party of 5 in March. Also you can make reservations through Open Table, so there's no penalty if you cancel.

If you want to eat there, make the reservation. Use Open Table.

We were able to get a walk-up in November, but I've made an ADR for our trip this month. I would recommend making the ADR.
