Has anyone used this service from the radisson to the port? Is it a private shuttle or through the radisson itself? I had read somewhere that the private shuttles don't go as early as we would like. (we would like to make our way to the port around 10:00a.m). Also, has anyone parked their car at the Rad. for the week? Is is secure? Any comments are appreciated. Thanks- Tracey

We used the Radisson shuttle this past April. They have a small bus with a trailer for luggage it is run by the Radisson. I think we took the 10:30 shuttle the terminal I think opens around 10:00. It is less than a 10 min drive. We were one of the first groups there.
They have a place to park your car for cruise in the parking lot. Left a car there with no problem. We made our reservation for the shuttle via e-mail about 2 months before we left - they confirmed them at check in but when we went to get on our name was not on the list! No, problem though there was plenty of room. Hope that helps.

Pretty much the same experience here except the omission of our names from the list. :sad2:

We opted for the 10:30 shuttle and booked it a couple of months in advance. It was nearly empty and we ended up standing in line for 1/2 hour before we were even let in to the terminal. The ship opened for boarding at about noon, and we had been sitting around trying to keep three kids happy for almost 45 minutes after our check-in was complete. Next time, I'll opt to arrive at the terminal no earlier than 11 - plenty of time to check-in and "see" the terminal. So I guess the bottom line is, in our experience the shuttle was large enough and timely.

We stayed at the radisson 2 years ago. We drove to Florida and arrived at the Radisson the friday night before the cruise. We booked the shuttle at 8:30 pm on friday night and had no problem for 8 of us to go at 11:00 am. We also left our cars in parking lot of the radisson for the week. It is very safe and from what I remember it also was gated I think. We are going on the Nov 5th 7 day cruise and we are arriving on friday morning once again I do have ressie this time and I just called about a week ago and made shuttle ressies for 12 of us for 10:30 am and it was fine. We will once again be leaving our cars there for the week.

thanks for all of your quick responses...I guess we will go a bit later to the port. BTW, how was the radisson? we are driving down from cleveland and arriving on Friday. I think by that time I will only be happy to drop my head down..lol. Thanks- Tracey

We were satisfied. We felt we received a good value for the money. If you do a little keyword search you'll find mixed reviews but mostly positive.

I emailed the Radisson at the Port to find out how far in advance I could schedule our shuttle time for going to the Port. Bridget replied that I could send her my info and she'd go ahead and take care of it. We're traveling in December. Here's the email address for the hotel: info@radissonport.com
