Hiya

Just wondering if anybody has stayed there, we have just changed our night before we fly over from the hilton to the radisson, for the experiance of staying in the airport.

this is for next year lol not this,

I am really looking forward to just being able to walk to check in

I hope you have asked for a runway view!!! :thumbsup2 It was brilliant, we could have our curtains open and see the planes! Couldn't hear them though!! Room was very nice and an unusual design with the bed cornerways accross the room. The parking arangements were good, just had to leave it in the carpark and it was there when we returned. It is a short covered walk to terminals 1 and 2 with moving walkways. We had a wonderful night's sleep.
I always had a major job persuading my husband to stay overnight and we have had some poor experiences, but now it is he who is saying he wants to stay there again as it was such a great way to start the holiday!! :teeth:

I agree....we stayed there last September the night before we flew and it was absolutely brilliant!! Our bed was at an angle facing the window so we could sit in bed watching the planes....the runway view was excellent.

It was a fantastic way to start our holiday, and we will be doing the same thing when we go back to Orlando in December :cool1:

Sorry, bit off topic, but what date do you go Kathryn? We are going 27th November and are planning to stay at POFQ for 8 nights.

We should be staying at the Raddisson the night before we fly again. Must add too that we didn't feel like the poor relations there whereas at some park and fly hotels we have had the poorest rooms, or the ones in the back of beyond etc.

We should be moving from POFQ on 5th Dec, and travelling back on 11th to Manchester!! I imagine you are flying with Virgin too! Woohoo!!!

Yep, we are flying Virgin :thumbsup2

We've stayed at the SAS twice now and I wouldn't consider doing anything else. The rooms are nice (as other have said, ask for runway facing ones!) and breakfasts they deliver to your room are massive! On both occasions we've had adjoining rooms so the children sleep in one and us in the other.

We get about around 7am and get our flight bags ready and make sure the suitcases are packed. Then we go down to Virgin check in to get our boarding passes and get rid of the cases - it's great as their is little or no queue at this time! By the time we get back to our rooms we're ready for breakfast to be delivered and we have this watching the planes come and go. We leave the room around 9am to check out of the hotel and take a leisurely stroll through the airport to wait for the plane to wonderland.

Staying at the SAS is an essential part of our holiday and I would reccommend it to everyone!

Couldn't agree with AndRu more. Another bonus is the way they opperate the car parking. You park in the hotel car park and drop your keys off at reception once you've taken your luggage to you room. They take the car off site somewhere and return it to the hotel ready for you to pick up from reception. It's a far better system than say the gatwick or Heathrow Hiltons.

We'kl be sure to ask for runway view next time. We had a view looking out towards Manchester centre, which I have to say was spectacular enough.

We stayed in an exec room but I believe that the standard rooms are just as nice.
