Which would you choose and why?

Trying to keep our budget under control, I have been researching off-site hotels. Dreams is offering $79 rates for BVS and a $59.95 rate for RRP - whether those rates will be available for our dates remains to be seen, but RRP does have an internet rate of $59.

Breakfast is complimentary at BVS while only kids eat free at RRP. That's one plus in favor of BVS. BVS has 2 Queen beds and a full sleeper sofa, RRP has 2 double beds and we would have to pay $10/night extra for a roll-away. Even with the extra charge it would still be less than BVS. A plus for RRP.

I've read a few posts that mentioned that BVS may have additional charges. This would be a minus against BVS. Can anyone verify that there were charges in addition to the quoted rate? As far as I know they are no extra charges at RRP.

Party of 5 - Me, DH and our DD15, my friend and her DD8. We are planning on going in mid-June 2006 and will go to a Disney water park, Disney Quest, all 4 WDW parks and Sea World together. The three of us also have intentions of going to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure while my friend and her DD will probably relax by the pool. Can anyone vouch for the reliability/schedules of the shuttles to the themeparks?

TIA!

Don't know what the shuttles are like and I've never stayed at BVS, but the pool area at the Radisson was just beautiful. Very tropical and beautifully landscaped. Just an FYI. They are pretty close to each other, so I would guess the commute to Universal would be about the same.
Happy planning!

We stayed at the RRP a few times before we grew out of it. Fantastic pool area and a great resort location. i would recommend it.

We just got back from the RRP, stayed there 2 days and loved it. The pool is great. Location was very close. The rooms were very clean. I liked it better than many of the properties onsite at the World. We will stay here again.

Another one ringing in the praises of RRP. It was a great place to stay and very close to WDW as well as food, shopping, etc.

I've been wondering about the RRP as well. I was in Orlando a few years ago (and had decided to stay at the Holiday Inn Family Suites) and drove into the RRP parking lot to take a quick look at the pool. It honestly didn't look like much from what we saw. The Unofficial Guide describes the pool as being really great. Could someone provide a little more description about it? It actually got more stars in the Official Guide than the Holiday Inn Family Suites (now Nick Hotel), and that was a huge, awesome pool (now with lots more stuff). Thanks in advance - Maureen

We stayed at BVS a couple of weeks ago. It was ok rooms are a little beat up. Breakfast was free but glad I didn't have to pay for it. I would go with the Radisson sounds much better.

Oh sorry there were no extra fees and we didn't check out the pool.

Thanks for an opposing point of view dferr. I'm leaning towards the Radisson too. Sounds like you all haven enjoyed your stays at RRP. Thanks for posting!

Stayed at BVS this past march.....It is showing its age in the rooms,as a nother poster said "beat up"But it was clean.Pool was small at bvs ,you could pool hop at its sister site next door.Though the breakfeast was free it was just okay...(if i had to pay for it it would have been a one visit only)There were no fees tacked on to bill.Bvs was just a average hotel that has passed its prime. The desk staff was friendly(lobby hawks were over the top trying to get you to there timeshare)
