We're changing plans one last time, and I can't decide between the above two for a two night stay Dec 28-30. HI would be $139 for the two nights (BOGO) and Radisson would be $178 for the two nights (AAA rate), so the price difference doesn't really matter. It would be just DS and myself since I will have to drop DH off at airport and then find my way to Discovery Cove and back to one of the above. Tell this "country girl" which one to stay at, please! (I'm too big of a chicken to try Priceline, sorry...)

Terri, TERRI... don't be a chicken!

Right now I see Priceline as a win-win situation for offsite at Universal!

All of the 3 stars are great properties, and they can be had for about $20 a night! and that includes the Radisson! :D

If you give me the link again for how to do it, I'll look into it. Otherwise how can I come to your meet?!? Thanks a bunch! (And my DS is really looking forward to meeting your DS...)

:bounce:YAY!!! My son's friend can't come now and I'm sooooo glad there will be kids there for him to play with, besides MIB and Barry of course!

First, check www.biddingfortravel.com They are a priceless source of how to bid and what the hotels are for each level.

Check for bonuses! Here is a link to the current bonus they're offering. It ends as of 11/30 so hurry!

Then go to www.priceline.com Make sure you bid on a 3* hotel in the Universal area. The most common accepted hotel I've seen is the Radisson Universal, which btw USED to be called the Twin Towers, uh, not anymore! ... and for about $25 with the bonus money.

The worse that can happen is that you'll be rejected. The choice of 3 stars are as follows..

Homewood Suites www.homewood-suites-orlando.com/
Parc Corniche Resort www.parccorniche.com/
Radisson Universal www.radissonuniversal.com/
Rosen Centre Hotel www.rosencentre.com/
Sheraton Studio City www.sheraton.com/property...1142&lc=en
Sheraton World Resort www.sheraton.com/property...=852&lc=en
Wyndham I-Drive www.wyndham.com

All are nice hotels, and on the same level as the ones you had in mind.

Hope that helps! :D

I assume I cannot use priceline since it will be DH, DS and myself the first night, then just DS and myself the second, since it is only supposed to be two persons per room? Hmmm...maybe have to extend HRH one night then just do Priceline for second night?

No, Priceline only guarantees two beds, not just two people. The rooms would be at least the size of the Hard Rock or more.

Regardless, I do understand the apprehension of trying a gamble such as this. Let us know what you decide! :D
