Radisson Hotel Maingate?

Ok, those who may obsessively frequent the DLR board and have a photographic memory would remember me.

If not, I shall remind you of my woeful tale.

Last time I went to DLR was November 2005 for my Aunt's 50th. As always, we stayed in the oh-so-very-nice Grand Californian.

Ever since, I have tried to get back.... and then some lucky news passed my way.

My sister is a big Volleyball Nut. I'm dragged all around the West Coast to these Volleyball tournaments (Reno, Sacramento, Fresno, to name a few), so I'm used to bad/horrible beds/hotels/etc.

The last place I stayed was a little motel where someone had been killed a few monthes ago.

So, I can handle my fair share of horrible living.

After permanently swearing off going to another Volleyball Tournament, I am told that there will be an Anaheim qualifier in April.

The American Sports Center (I had previously posted a thread asking how far the run was, which I am greatful for) is hosting the event.

Where we last left our information, however, I was under the impression that we were located on the other side of the Center in a little motel.

Scratch that... I just got confirmation of our hotel:

The Radisson Hotel Maingate.

Any pictures? Reviews?

It is not too bad, but it looks nicer from the outside than it really is inside. If you read a few reviews from TripAdvisor, most of them just say it is seriously old and outdated. And it is. But most of the previous threads on here are people that seemed to be okay with the hotel with no real complaints at all. Other than that, I wouldn't worry as I think it will be a Ritz Carlton compared to some other places you have stayed, lol!!!

Over a year ago we stayed there. Ican only say bad, bad, bad, I actually had to go tothe Better Business Bureau to get our monry back. It was that bad, Fom waiting at the front desk for over ten minutes while listening to employees in the back room laughing having one come out look at us walk back in and still wait a few minutes before and help. Then key not working waiting at front desk for 10 minutes again having front desk oerson not believe us, then finally get into room to find old used sheets, mold in the bathroom and around the A/C vent. never recieving pillows we requested. trust me this was only the first of 2 days. I relaize this bad experience may be unique but I only put up with it once. I did however get a full refund about 6 months later
