Radio Controlled Car issue!

UGH why would this happen?

DD's and I all got big radio controlled trucks for christmas, The DD's are the same brand- one is a Hummer H2 the other is a Dodge Ram....Mine, of different brand is an International Truck...

DD's being the same brand- yeah, you know where this is going....they control eachothers. You can't play them together, or anywhere near one another and have them work. Heck, we live in a 3 story old victorian, DD9 went down to the front foyer, with her H2, DD10 was on the third floor with the Ram, and sure enough- still happened!

Why would they not put a channel change on this stupid $75.00 trucks? Do you not think that siblings would both get them? Simple to me...

It snowed last night, so they cant try it outside, but I'm thinking they're going to have to be miles apart!

This sucks!

I've emailed the company, back with the old batteries, you could swap out the positive/negative and it would work, but these have battery packs that you can't do that with...trying to find a solution cause I'm tired of sharing my Big truck!

Maybe take one back and get another at another store, or call the store you got it at and explain it to them, perhaps they will exchange.

slightly off topic....I read somewhere a while ago that car manufactures only make 13 different key locks for cars - they figure what are the odds of you and the next person parked next to you (that has the same car) have the same key.

Maybe its the same principle for the remote cars

Our son got two remote controlled cars for Christmas, a Hummer and a Jeep. They came packaged together, and on the packaging it says that the vehicles operate on separate 27MHz and 49MHz frequencies so you can race head-to-head.

They were inexpensive compared to what you paid for your trucks. They sold for $50., but were on sale for $30. That's $30. for the set. I posted a picture of them on the "What was your teenager's favorite gift for Christmas?" thread.

I don't how they compare, quality-wise, with the trucks you bought, but everyone sure got a kick out of playing with them yesterday. Maybe you could exchange your trucks?

I'm not sure if you can tell by the picture, but the cars are approximately 15 inches in length and 6 or 7 inches in height.

These are the big ones, they were on sale @ 75.00 I think they were originally 119.00 Just the height from the floor to the bumper on these is 6-7 inches...I haven't heard from the company yet, and of course, boxes are already gone so I can't return them.

the worst case scenario is that their father is going to buy 2 more, DIFFERENT brands, and we'll split them up, 2 here and 2 at his house, keeping the frequencies different...

I'm going to hide mine anyway, so they can't use it....mean mommy LOL

Before you buy new ones make sure you check the frequency on them so that you don't have the same problem again. most RCs will have that info on the box so when you buy more than one you can get different frequencies.

Wow! Those are BIG trucks! I'm sure they're much nicer than the ones we bought. Our guinea pig AND our cat could ride around in your trucks!
