“Egroeg W. Shub Proposes Law to Ban Tranquilizer Blasters”
Yesterday morning, President Shub of the Galactic Galaxy called an emergency meeting with all representatives of the galaxy. The focus of the meeting was to discuss the recent problems concerning tranquilizer blasters, Substance Q, and the Huttmanoids of Jupiter.
“In recent times, the tranquilizer blasters all citizens of the galaxy are causing many problems. Many blasters no longer tranquilize victims, but instead kill them,” Shub explained. He further described how chemicals have been discovered in abandoned weapons. “This unknown chemical is inserted into the blaster’s energy source. The tranquilizer powder already in the energy source mixes with the unknown chemical. The solution is very poisonous to living flesh. Thousands of innocent citizens have perished across the galaxy due to the poisonous chemical. Actions regarding this situation need to be taken very seriously.”
Representatives nodded in agreement, and began to confer with each other about the proper approach to this dilemma.
Representative Yugi McSchwaps of Mercury asked President Shub, “Have your top advisers uncovered any more details?”
“My top advisers have been traveling across the galaxy in hopes of tracking down more information about the unknown chemical. The chemical, nicknamed ‘Substance Q’ has been discovered on Jupiter- and nowhere else. Only the notorious Huttmanoids of Jupiter have control over Substance Q. The Huttmanoids smuggle Substance Q to various places across the entire galaxy. This is all the advisers have uncovered about Substance Q. The Huttmanoids refuse to cooperate. They cannot be arrested, because of customs we must take into consideration.”
There was more conferring and discussion. Representative Melkin Tiskabloos of Neptune asked President Shub if he had any ideas about how to handle this situation.
“The only way to deal with this situation is to ban the right to use tranquilizer blasters, until our government can retrieve more information about Substance Q,” Shub replied.
Representatives nodded in agreement with the president.
A Proposal Debate is scheduled to be held next Thursday. The outcome of this proposal will not be known until two months from now. Shub would like to advise all citizens to be cautious in handling tranquilizer blasters.
