young hearts, run free
we went to the welsh hunters cup or w/e it's called at chepstow(racecourse) today
in the first race 2 horses and jockeys fell but the horses sprinted through the finish(one came in first but was disqualified as it had no jockey, it was the one i bet on so i was ilike ehhh who needs a jockey)
2 fell at the smae time one got staright back up and mounted and trotted unharmed through the line after.
the other one remained on the floor and the camera went past it. i was almost crying when i told my mom the one horse hadn't got back up. however we did see him come through the line untacked and limping( we suspect he was lame and had a pulled muscle)
a further 3-4 horses fell in the following 5 races. 2-3 horses were un-injured. 1 ended up lame. 1 pulled out in the middle of a race suspected to be lame. 1 jockey did not get back up. the horse was staright up the jockey didnt move. the ambulance was with him for about an hour before it went.
racing is a cruel sport.
the horse brought out lame in the middle was the one i said looked lame when i saw him gallop to the post. horses have fallen and been put down from being allowed to race whilst lame. this one was lucky the jockey noticed.
racing is all about the money.
you have a slight chance of the money and your horse is in no matter how likely it is he will fall.
national hunt racing is a risky game.
it's a game of chance.
you live or you die.
jockeys i can bare horses i can't.
so i think thats the last time i watch national hunt racing!!
i think i'll stick to flat
