Rack Rates for SSR for DVC Members

We are going 11/30-12/5 and are using our dev points. We are torn over using all of them (for Sat and Fri nights) in case we want to take a quick trip in the spring sometime and we can't use our "real" points until May.

How do I find out what the discount rack rates are for Sat (prior) and Fri (at the end) should I decide to add those two nights? Do I just call MS or can I get the rates from the web and take 25% off and figure it all out BEFORE I call? Does that make sense?

The only way to get the member discount (if it's even available) is thru MS. You can get an idea of rack rate just by going to disney.com and getting a reservation pricing for your dates - but you won't have any way to know about the discount except by calling MS.

Thanks Doc. I called and it was painless (except for the foreign accent but I won't go there).

Booked a studio at SSR Sat and Fri (bookending our current incentive booking for 11/30-12/5) for discount with no problems.

Thought I'd have to do it that way but wasn't sure.

if I asked how much the weekend rate was? We are going in Dec and as of right now we are at SSR 12/1 - 12/5 on pts and ASMo cash 12/5-12/7 (fri and Sat nights). I would much rather just stay at the one resort and not have to move is possible. I know we may have to switch rooms but that's not as bad as switching resorts. I understand if you would rather not post just thought i would ask!

That's kinda the boat we were in too. We contemplated a value but it's not worth the complications bookending the vacation.

I think it was (discounted already) $260 for the Sat (11-30) and $285 for the Friday (12-5). I'm pretty sure I remember it right.

Figured the value would be at least $150 during the season. Wasn't worth the difference, at least to us.

Do we get discounts on MVMCP or just the regular discounted nights? I can't find a link on the members' site and I thought I remembered there being DVC discount nights.
