Rachel, my friend, is sort of like my hero (heroine?) - she is just shy of 40 years old, has cystic fibrosis, holds down a job as a solicitor, has an active social life, is always smiling, has a real zest for life... after all she's gone through, she's just amazing. I couldn't wish to know a kinder, more resilient person to call my friend.

I hope you share with her how much you admire her strength and outlook on life. I don't care who you are, sometimes hearing that on a day when you needed that boost can mean more than the person sharing will ever know!
