Rachael Ray...

I have to say something about that lady who "spin cycled" her lettuce in the dryer. They have shown on TV that your washer (sorry to gross you out) :crazy2: harbors all kinds of bacteria (I won't mention the icky type) but do you really want to be spinning your lettuce with the same appliance that you wash your undies in? :scared1:

I sure hope that someone watching her show is really dumb enough to think that was a good idea and actually try that one. :sad2:

Just the thought of it is so completely and utterly disgusting. :crazy2:

OOPS!! I meant to say I sure hope that someone "Isn't really dumb enough to think that was a good idea and actually try that one".

Well, not since you put it THAT way. Ew.

Let's not forget that we wash the rags used to wash the floors and toilets.

I cannot stand her and don't understand the appeal.

I look forward to them casing on her on The Soup though. :teeth:

The only thing I dont like about RR is "EvOO- thats extra virgin olive oil!". Either use the acronym or say the words dont do both! I dont really like Paula Dean. It grosses me out that she takes big bites of food, more then what fits on the fork, and eats it over the serving dish. No manners at all!

I think she is kind of annoying. I hate when she says things like "Yummo", and when she keeps repeating the same tips. She has some good things to say too though.

That drives me nuts, too!

I used to enjoy Rachael Ray until I read an article when she was being interviewed and they were at a hotel restaurant/bar before they opened (as a place to do the interview). Apparently they (the hotel) didn't want them to interview in there as they weren't open but they finally let them use the facilities. Rachael then wanted a glass of water but the bar staff said they were closed. She took the interviewer and left the restaurant/bar saying she's been in the restaurant business her whole life and that's not good customer service and she knew the owner of the hotel and she would be contacting him. I know it was just a glass of water but they were CLOSED. It rubs me the wrong way when any celebrity thinks they should get whatever they want because they "know people" or "know how things should be done". I still watch her shows but I look at her in a different way now. I think the article was in Parade or something like that.

I like her on $40 a day and sometimes I'll watch 30 minute meals. The only thing that drives me crazy on "30 minute meals" is how she tucks in her shirts so that it look like a bodysuit. Ugh!
I never make any of her recipes, they seem way too fattening and don't really appeal to me.

I'm watching her new talk show right now and I'd like to know what in the world is she on? She is just insane and all over the place. I've never seen anyone that hyper before or act that way before. I think someone needs to tell her to calm down a little.

yes, that would bug me too had i read it!

Hi DMM!!! :wave2:  Your trip is coming up so soon!!!! I bet you're so excited!!!!

Yeah, I looked for that article for the past 20 minutes but I can't find it. :( I think I read it back in August sometime online. It was about her life and her future projects but they went through that stuff at the beginning. :confused3

I Tivo'd it yesterday. I love her but the show is painful. For some reason I still watched the whole thing - and I never will again. It was a hour of my life I will never have back.

And the part with the washer and spinning lettuce - nasty! A salad spinner costs 10 bucks.

I will continue to watch the other shows on Food Network but not this one. :happytv:

Well today was my first taste of the show.............and OMG but I could not even sit through the whole thing! She is beyond annoying!!! I always thought I hated Dr. Phil but this is even worse! That voice got to me and I will probably have nightmares about it tonight! And to think they pulled Montel out of the time slot for this!!

Okay, I am in the minority it seems, but I enjoy watching Rachel Ray. I haven't seen her new talk show, but I love her shows on Food Network.

:wave2: Same here.

I love Rachael Ray and hope the show succeeds. I do agree though, that she needs to chill and find her groove and she is talking so loud!

I think the show needs some tweeking (sp?) for example her show seems to jump around and not have the same segments each day. I think she could fix that easily.

I'm rooting for her. The ratings are through the roof so far!

My mom and I can't stand her! Yesterday, I was flipping channels and her show was on and I was like "Mom! Your favorite person has her own tv show!" and she was like "Who?" and I was like "Rachael Ray!" She was just like "GREEEAT!" (in a sarcastic voice...lol.) :sad2:

I watch 30 mintue meals when nothing else is on and I think that show is "fake". I mean half the food items she uses are "pre-cooked" so it doesn't take that long. :stir: She's so hyper and full of energy;she annoys me! :Pinkbounc  And the way she moves her head and hands when she explains what she's cooking......UH! It bugs me! :furious:
