Race Reports/Encouragment/Kudos - December 20 and 21

Last race of the year.............DONE! 
It was a nice little 3 miler in the rain. I love running in the rain! Except for the fact that I still have my cold. But that's ok, it was still a lot of fun. My running group was out there and I am always the last one of our group in. We all had our team shirts on. As I'm coming in a volunteer says "Oh, you must be the last of the gO! Group." My reply "Yep...like always." He must have sensed my sarcasm and tried to save himself so he added "Oh...you just have to be here to make sure the rest of them finish ok." Yeah, thanks...nice save. So I trudged on to the finish feeling a little deflated. As I round the corner to the finish, there is my team forming a human tunnel for me to run through cheering me on. I think I floated across that finish line!
How awesome is that? Totally reminded me of being at the DL 1/2 and having the WISH and DR team there to cheer me on. I just love that part!
My only complaint about this race is that after you finished they actually gave you a medal...from a 1/2 marathon that happened in March!!!
So I feel really bad for those that really did finish that race. I'm the first to admit that I'm all about the bling...but only when I actually earned it! So while I have the medal from this year now...I'm looking forward to earning my own in March!
