Good luck guys! We ran a 5k this AM and it was COLD (20 degrees!), which made it a little tough on the lungs. I didn't reach my goal of 22:00 but did manage a 23:30, which is about 5 1/2 min faster than my last 5k which was about 6 months ago! I can't believe the marathon is less than a month
away!

Wow! A 5.5 minute faster 5K? That's great! Congrats on an awesome improvement!

Thank you! I just found out I was 2nd in my division, which I am very proud of since just over a year ago I was 70 lbs overweight and couldn't walk a flight of stairs without feeling out of breath!

Congrats! You SHOULD be proud. You've done more than get a good time, you've changed your life.

I am in awe. Good for you!!

Saturday I ran the Kent Christmas Rush 5K. There were 7 of us total (including my 14 year old daughter and my dog) and we all dressed up for it. I finished 2nd in my age division with a time of 23:58. That's a new PR for me!:cool1:
I was 142nd overall with 1800 people participating.
It was really cold for the run, about 33 degress out. Brrrr. That's pretty cold for us Washentonians!
Looking forward to my next race this coming weekend where I get to dress up for Christmas again!
:santa:

Thanksgiving runs

So much fun wearing an outfit!!!
