Race for the Taste 10/7

I've seen the map but it is kind of hard to decipher, where do you actually go thru MGM??......Anyone who has run this race before would love some info........am running with my DS who is 11 (he has run 10K's before)...........do we get shirt?.......what is the medal you get when you finish?........would love any interesting info that can be provided.........Thanks!!

You run around the back entrance of MGM through Lights Motor Action, then down New York Street, back by the commissary food area, either around the hat or just in front of the hat, then down the "Main Street" of MGM.

There is no shirt for this race but you can buy one if you want. Instead they give out something related to Food. Last year was a lunch box carrier and the year before was an apron.

Last year was the first year for the medal and it was a fork, knife and spoon dangling off a medallion saying Race for the Taste 10k.

If you want a shirt I suggest buying it early. We tried to buy one on Saturday at the packet pickup and they were already sold out.

You can also do a search on the Dis boards and find some reviews from last year. Scopa's review is a good description of the course.

I've read you can buy a shirt at the expo if you want.
