rabbits + back yard surrounded by picket fence + big dogs = less rabbits
Don't know if that's good or bad for dogs though :confused3
(it's amazing how just a little less space between pickets can doom an escape ;) )

As food? I wouldn't know. :confused3

As a pet... I wouldn't. They aren't kid friendly, they're pee/poop machines... it costs far more to spay/neuter a rabbit than a dog or cat... and that's the only thing that will make them quit going potty all over the place... they stink [unless you keep their rear glands cleaned out  ]... and if you're allergic to ANY kind of hay or dander, I wouldn't.

pros- they can be potty trained and they're fun to watch hop around.

My brother had a bunny from last April to October. Probably the most spoiled bunny ever... he had a condo that was 6'x5'x4'! However... I was deathly allergic [felt like I was breathing out of a coffee stirrer stick] and my brother slowly developed an allergy too. Our little bunny found a new home though :) :thumbsup2

Good, good, good!!!

My first real, non-fish pet was a rabbit - Whiskers. He looked like a wild rabbit. He lived outside in the summer and well, I think he was a naughty boy because during the 8 years I had him we had a real rabbit population boom in our backyard  .
He got out of his enclosure a couple of times and took a hop around the neighborhood - people always spotted him cause he was just so tame. So he did have the opportunity to make nice with the ladies!

Evil. Have you seen "Monty Python's Holy Grail"?

One of my favorite authors has a tag line something like:

It's not the dust bunnies that scare me it's the flaming rabbits from he**!

:rotfl:

Seems she liked monty python.:thumbsup2 :happytv:

Had to add I posted this before I saw the post right above mine.......now the whole library is looking at me like I'm a lunatic.........LOL

rabbits eat, then poop, then eat, then poop. Unless you have 2 rabbits of course.

i know a lot of ladies that will swear they are hte best thing ever,

but i wasnt crazy about rabbit, raiseig them, eating them, playing with them, etc..

I have had three pet rabbits and would definitely have more. Mine were litter box trained. They were so much cuddly and so much fun I really miss em. My cats loved to play with them too they were all buds and there was no rough housing. I really miss them and will at some point be able to think about having another one.

I've never had any experience with them, but hear some people really like them.
