I have a few designs and some iron-on transfers for my printer. Now all I need are a few plain t-shirts/tanks. I'm looking for heavy weight plain t's, and fitted (Not tight, not boxy) ladies tank tops. Any suggestions? Does "ribbed" mean it is textured in a way that ironing on a transfer won't work? :confused3
Thanks!!

Hello! A different board is the one that does the t-shirt stuff.... if you try the Creative DISigns board, I think you'll find what you're looking for! :)

I am not sure if they have tank tops but I like jiffyshirts.com if I am buying quite a few shirts. If I am only buying a few, Joann's or Michael's often run specials on their tshirts.

Yes, ribbed means textured. I have never tried to do an iron on on one but I am thinking it would NOT adhere correctly. Just my opinion.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, post again, we are a helpful group of people!

I just bought a few the other day at Walmart. They were reduced down to $1 a peice because they were last years stock. I usually buy a few tanks evey year at Walmart, so I am sure they will be coming out with the summer stock soon. Good luck in your quest!

Thanks everyone! And thanks for moving my post. I get confused when the post is not about an obvious topic like Disney resorts or touring the parks.

One more question: Is 100% cotton best for iron-ons? What about moisture wicking performance shirts? DH loves these.

Cotton shirts are what most iron on transfers suggest. There are some other transfers that are 'special' like they can be used with 'stretchy' shirts. I have not used these but have heard others on the boards talking about them. I am not sure about the other shirts you mentioned because I am not familiar with them. You could always try it - if you do not mind the possibility of wasting a shirt and one iron on. If you decide to try it - please report back to us on whether or not it worked.

Maybe someone else may have personal experience with this. Anyone?
