I have sisters in their 20s and I would like to add something fun and useless to my completely useful gift for the year;)
In the past I have given a flying cow and pig that talk when you flung them into the air, and a dancing Santa.
Anyone have any ideas for quirky gifts?

I just got back from Disney and in the skymall catalogue there was a company that could make viewfinders from your own picutres. I thought it maybe fun to have a viewfinder made of my daughter's first year. I bet you could find some funny photos to put into one of those

I like the reindeer that "poop" jelly belly's

Go on Amazon and look in their novelty category. I happened upon some of the items when they appeared in other categories, such as the Yodeling Pickle. Be sure to read the reviews for that one ;)

I am going to get SIL a Cat Butts set- I think it has 4 cat butt magnets, a hairball magnet, and maybe a book? I don't know but it's perfect because she is the family cat lady and plus, DD used to constantly wear these shirts that have cat fronts on the front and cat butts on the back. One year we gave the ladies their own cat butt shirts. Cat butts are kind of a thing for us now!

We do homemade too. We have a set of corn cobs DH painted purple that travel back and forth each year. I think we'll be getting them back this Christmas. DH has made "Beer IV's" for the guys, or a huge giant steel belt buckle when his sister was doing the rodeo queen thing. Or decorated underwear. Hand decorated underwear is always good.

On my side of the family, not so much, BUT we give a swimsuit calendar (free from the hardware store) to my oldest nephew. It's a running joke. One year his sister was bringing a boyfriend and my SIL called us on Christmas Eve or the day before to see if we could possibly bring one for the boyfriend on the 26th. We were snowed in and without electricity...so we took a tractor calendar we had already picked up free and got into my stash of Good Housekeeping mags. They happened to have a jeans article and a swimsuit article in them, so we cut out middle aged (and older) ladies showing off their butts in jeans and their modest swimsuits and pasted them in next to the tractors. Best gag gift ever to break in the newcomer (who was expecting a girlie calendar).

Things I have given.

Marshmallow shooter -huge hit. Pre stale the marshmallows
Pig catapult
Duct tape wallet

I saw an item in a totally legitimate catalog last year. It was an adhesive odor-absorbing patch to stick in your... ahem... undergarments to catch any odors that may escape from down there. I need to go find it again for our upcoming white elephant gift exchange!

OMG I have to get that for my DH! LOL! Can you post the link when you find it. Too funny!!! :rotfl2:

I love the marshmallow guns and the link to thinkgeek. I always forget about that site!

Things we have gotten in the past (can get raunchy):
* Looking Good For Jesus kit
* What Would Jesus Wear? magnet set
* Bacon band-aids
* "BS" button -- like Staples easy button
* Bic for Her pens -- the amazon reviews are hilarious; I put them "from: your feminine side"
* Rubber band guns -- giving my bro and his family a set so it will likely be war
* marshmallow shooters
* funny magnets of various kinds
* racing grannies -- wind-up toys
* magic box knife sharpener -- you sharpen the knife in a slit that makes it look like you are sawing the lady in the box in half
* maybe you touched your genitals hand sanitizer -- so not kidding. Found that on amazon of all places. For my brother. With love.
* crazy cat lady figure -- gave that to my mom who had 4 cats at the time.

I'd check thinkgeek, fatbraintoys and what on earth catalogs. You can also check spencer's but I tend to find they are more raunchy. They are all online and have some of the most random things.

DH really wanted a build your own camera from thinkgeek.com this year. It was $10 when I ordered it and I know he'll be thrilled. Supposedly it really works, although I'm sure it's more of a novelty thing. I get a lot of his stocking stuffers from there, he loves that website.

Amazon.com has Plush Giant Microbes.....such as flesh eating bacteria, e.coli, etc......

Totally cheesy but for our gift exchange we bought a nice frame from Kohls. Took a picture up close of my hubby printed it out in black and white to fit the frame and he signed it "To My Biggest Fan" Everyone seemed to get a kick out of that !

Nerf gun. :P

We do this every year for all attendees at Christmas Eve. We get the little ones from Target in three packs for about $6. It is the most requested repeat gift, and has become a family tradition.
