Quiet times in the day for Character Meals?

Going to Disney in May again, just wanted to know
when have you found the quietest time in the day to go for a character meal and were was it?

Lunch at Cafe Mickey was quite quiet, since people don't tend to want to take time out of the parks.

I'd second that. Characters are there between 12-3pm in the afternoon and it seems quieter than in the eveining. Although we've also had quiet meals there and in Inventions in the early evening (around 6 -6.30pm)
