Quiet rooms at the Dolphin Hotel?

Hi - I'm looking for advice from people who have stayed at the Disney World Dolphin Hotel. I'd like to request a room that's far away from noise (e.g. elevators, air-conditioning vents), yet one that's not a far walk from the main lobby and restaurants. I'm traveling with a few people who have mobility issues and a small child. I'm staying in a regular, parking lot/non-view room, so any advice on what floor is the best to stay on?

I'm planning on bringing a noise machine, either way.

I realize the hotel doesn't guarantee honoring these types of requests, but it's worth a shot!

Thanks!

Can you possibly upgrade your room to Resort View (no balcony). If so, do it and request a room in "the triangle." They are SUPER quiet but very centrally located, and they have amazing views.

Make sure to request a room that does not connect to another room. We had one with a connecting door and could hear everything between the door.

Any higher floor room has less noise - ask for a room away from the elevator.
We never had an issue with noise at the Dolphin
