I am a little confused looking at the hotel layout of the HoJo as to which rooms are closest to the freeway and the exact postion of the 'Disney view' rooms.

It looks as though the Disney view rooms on the map are in Building 1 are to the rear of the property - is this not the building closest to the freeway? I would have thought that Disney view rooms would be the ones closest to Harbor but I could be reading the map totally wrong. Our requirements are a quiet room with 2 queens - probably a deluxe or a premium room - with either a quiet pool view room or a Disney view room.

All you experts out there - what room type should we go for and which building number? (if we could choose)

My favorite quiet HoJo rooms are the NQQ2 rooms, which are the deluxe queen/queen rooms in Building 2. You don't get a "Disney view" but you have a nice view of the pool area and pretty much guaranteed a quiet room.

We've only stayed in the garden pool view rooms, and once the pool is closed, it's so nice and quiet.

We prefer bldg. 2 also, but on a lower floor and not on the end nearest the freeway. On our first trip there we were given a room on the top floor on the end nearest the freeway and it was a little noisy. The next time, we had a room on the 2nd floor about midway down the bldg. with a wonderful unobstructed view of the pool, and it was nice and quiet.:)

I can tell you that the rooms in building 1 at the far end of the hall (even disney view) are not quiet. I couldn't figure out what the noise was at the end of the hall until someone opened the stair door. The roar was amazing. The air conditioner drowned out all of the noise until the hotel lost power for several hours the first night we were there. It was a very stormy time and they didn't lose power any other time. HTH
