Quiet Pools?

Does quiet pool at Disney resorts mean no kids allowed? I've been elsewhere where these are referred to as the adult pools.

No, it means that they are quiet pools. Children are welcome, but rowdy behavior and loud noises are not. They also do not have life guards.

The quiet pools also have no slides.
Its basically a place to relax and get away from the crowds at WDW.

Okay...I'll 'bite'. Which pools are 'quiet pools'? I am getting ready for my first trip sans the kids and am planning some poolside time. Also...can you 'pool hop' to other resorts?

Most of the deluxes and some of the moderates have a main theme pool, as well as a more standard swimming pool which doesn't have the theming and amenities found at the main pools. The latter wouldbe considered the "quiet" pool.

I love the quiet pool at the Poly, it truly is a quiet sanctuary. At the GF the "quiet pool" is usually as crowded as the theme pool. At the AKL there is only one pool. As you can see, there's no difinitive answer.

Disney's written policy on pools is that they are for the benefit of the guests of that resort only, so no, the official written policy is no pool hopping.

BWI has a lovely quiet pool located near their garden suites. I used that area on a stay at BWI and found it a relaxing place. S/D doesn't have a designated quiet pool. They have a lap pool that is less crowded than the grotto pool or the kiddie pool.
