We'll be headed to SSR the end of June and beginnig of July and we were trying to decided where to request a room. We know there is no guarantee but doesn't hurt to try. Is there a drink refill area near the quiet pools? We may want to stay at the Paddock or Carrousel because they are earlier bus stops, but no where near Artists Point or the main pool. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unless there is a dining/counter service area at Grandstand, the only place to refill is at Artist's Palette near the main pool. Refillable mugs are not the most convenient at DVC resorts unless they are connected to a non-DVC resort like BC and BCV.

Carousel is furthest away from both a pool and drink refills. Chances are that any one of the sections would be OK for bus purposes. We were there over thanksgiving, staying in Congress Park, and always got a seat.

When we stayed in Paddock, we'd often walk to AP, get a refill, and catch the bus at it's last stop at the Springs. For some reason, I find the walk easier from Paddock to AP, than from Congress Park to AP - maybe it's just sight-lines, because the distance is about the same.

I agree. The walk from the Paddock to AP seemed much shorter than CP to AP.
