Quiet, Peaceful, and Relaxing...

Hmmm...

The AKL for sure for quiet and relaxing.

A lagoonview room at the Polynesian, just be warned that you will hear some noise from the MK during the day across the lagoon.

The BWI garden view is SUPER quiet.

OKW is also supposed to be very quiet, although I haven't stayed there.

The Swan, not too many kids and the great grotto pool with lounge chairs aplenty etc. Oops, dont forget the heavenly beds.

WL...Very "away" from the feeling of the parks!! WONDERFULL!!!

I'd have to agree. You don't feel like you're in Florida at the WL, you are totally removed from the hustle and bustle of a busy theme park.

I will say though that sitting at the Grotto Pool at the Swan and Dolphin is also very relaxing and gives you that tropical vacation feel. :sunny:

I also agree that WL provides a wonderful relaxing environment. Our last trip was without the kids and we really enjoyed our stay. Mornings can be noisy but not for long.

I sure hope you are right on this one!

I would also agree that AKL is quiet and relaxing. But I didn't get the "quiet" part at WL, although it was relaxing and enjoyable.

Coronado Springs! There are even 3 quiet pools in addition to the main (noisier) pool.

For me, the Villas at Wilderness Lodge are quiet, peaceful, relaxing...and beautiful....

The Polynesian always feels a million miles away from the parks to us and quiet and relaxing as well as tropical. I think most gardenview rooms are even more quiet than the lagoon view rooms.

BCV is also quiet and relaxing to me although the Y&BC areas are always bustling.

The approach to AKL really gives you a feeling of being away from everything as do the rooms. However I find the public areas busy...probably because it is such a large hotel and there are no outside walks to disperse the crowds.

Fort Wilderness Cabins seem a world away and very quiet, too.

I have stayed at GF, Polynesian, WL, YC, AKL, Dolphin all the moderates and the ASMusic. All of them have been quiet an peaceful though the GF we could here some of the boats out on the water. At the Dolphin we could hear the water taxi's horn. I think the most peacful were the Top floor of the Rock Inn at ASMusic, Alligator Bayou at DL / POR and the very end of the wing room 5595 at AKL.

Fort Wilderness, so quiet, so relaxing. You really escape the hustle & bustle of the parks and there is so many other activitites to do.

Quiet, Peaceful, and Relaxing...

*LOL* Those are the exact words I used in my trip report abt the WL.

I agree with the other, WL is the best!

Wilderness.............take me away!!!!! My vote is WL.::yes::

Without a doubt the WL is the best resort for these attributes. I saw the subject of your thread and had no idea what it was going to be about...............but before I even checked I thought Wilderness Lodge. We have stayed at all of the WDW resorts (save a couple of the All Stars) and find the WL to be the most relaxing by a wide margin. Not that other resorts aren't relaxing, but the WL is just more so. The secluded feel of the incredible landscaping, the quiet walkways, sitting in front of a fireplace, finding a comfy chair/couch, the Hidden Springs pool and hot tub over by the Villas, the Spike room and lobby/fireplace in the Villas building (we are DVC members and own at VWL)..............so many quiet, peaceful, and relaxing things. The music they pipe into the resort and around the walkways even has a calming effect. Even the boat ride to the MK is peaceful and relaxing.

If you are going during the Christmas holiday season you can multiply the effect of all those things as the place just exudes a warm and cozy (two other attributes I apply to the WL) Christmas feeling.

Boy, am I looking forward to our annual post-Thanksgiving sojourn to the WL!!!

IMHO this is the only park that can claim this title. We stopped over at WL while staying at FtW cabins, and I couldn't wait to get back to FtW - it was crazy busy over there and the pool was jammed with kids and the hustle and bustle just did nothing for me in the lobby. FtW is the ipitome of peaceful tranquil settings. I could not see or hear anyone else while sitting on my deck surrounded by birds and lush tropical forests sipping my afternoon whatever. I was absolutely blown away at how beautiful and peaceful FtW was - you would be remiss if you didn't stop by and check it out at the very least.
