So why have animals decided to start living it up all night? Cows that constantly moo all night.... Wily E and his coyote friends had a fun time again last night at 2am, a-wailing and a- howling...I swear they were partying:D This happens at least two times a week....and the last few months I have a mockingbird that spends 4 hours a day trying to fly into my windows...he's got a pattern. First thing in the morning, bathroom window, then on to the kitchen window, next the living room window then back to the kitchen and finish up with the bedroom window...... he constanly tries to fly into the window...over and over and over...
I have actually started to tune out the thump thump thump.....
And now after a 3 month break Woody Woodpecker is back trying to drill into the fireplace cap:confused:
It sounds lovely reverberating through the chimney:rolleyes:
Thank goodness all the deer and field mice don't make noise!:D

Thanks browneyes:D I'll try that........now, how do you shut a cow up?;)

We have the cows and the coyotes too. :D
After living in a big city for 30 years, I love the "country noise" for the last 3.;)

For your windows, put suncatchers or window clings in the windows that the mockingbird keeps trying to fly into. I've heard that helps sometimes. :)

Maybe Dancer or Prancer will knock Woody off the chimney;)
Rajah, I'd never have thought of suncatchers:D
That's a great idea.... You know I really love animals so it's not bothering me TOO much...it just gets old sometimes. I'd rather live here than the city and listen to traffic and sirens:D

Put a plastic owl up. I've heard woodpeckers are terrified of them.

Yeah, those plastic owl's are vicious :)

What was keeping me awake at 2am last night was some idiots car alarm... I wish I could hear coyotes.. :)

I live in the country too and we once had a mouse in the vent work of our house. Sounded like a herd of elephants running in the vents. Lovely isn't it!!!

My mother had a squirrel in her walls which, like Boots here, sounded like a herd of buffalo!!! :jester:

The only sounds of animals I hear at this time of year are my cats chasing each other thru the house 'cause they're bored!!!!
