Friday-4/2/04 Little DD’s birthday! She is so excited and up early even though Mickey called to wake us up at 6:30am! We all proceed to get ready and we are down to the food court by 8:00am. We enjoyed our breakfast of Mickey Waffles, sausage and OJ. For the 4 of us the bill comes to about $25.00. We are out waiting for the bus by 8:40am. Little DD tells everyone that today is her birthday! This child is not shy! We get on the bus and are walking down Main Street at 9:02am! First stop at City Hall to get the Birthday button for little DD. It proves to be very smart to be at the park at opening time when crowds are expected to be heavy. We systematically and methodically hit each ride in Fantasyland one by one. 1st-Dumbo (birthday girl’s request) 2nd-Peter Pan, 3rd-Snow White, 4th-Pooh, 5th-Tea Cups-10 min. wait, 6th-Philharmagic, 7th-Small World. Everything is pretty much a walk on and the only thing we really have to wait for is Tea Cups and the wait for Philharmagic was only to let the previous guests out of the theatre. We see the crowds growing and are so glad we got all of this out of the way early. We decide to eat at Pinocchio’s Village Haus before leaving Fantasyland and we luck out with a table overlooking It’s a Small World. Little DD proceeds to tell everyone, guests, CM’s, food servers, etc., that it’s her birthday-we try to ignore her! We all have Hot Dogs/chips and Soda’s. Reasonably priced, filling and pretty good. They also have a great toppings bar here. After lunch we head over to BTMRR-60 minute wait! From this point on the crowds are heavy and the wait times vary from 45 to 90 minutes! UGH!! So glad we got here early today! We got a fastpass for BTMRR and went across to kill some time at Tom Sawyer’s Island. It was a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed exploring the caves and the fort! (We did too!)
Back to BTMRR-got right on with the Fastpass. Then we head over to Haunted Mansion and the line is unbelievably long. We know we’ll be back this way later for our PS at LTT for dinner so we chose to pass it by and check on it later in the evening. We continue over to Space Mountain. 60 minute wait! We realize at this point that we all need to narrow down what we will do the rest of the day due to the long waits and heavy crowds. The kids really don’t want to miss Space Mountain so we decide to get on line and wait. The fastpass time fell during our dinnertime so that wasn’t an option. We wait the full hour and little DD gets the chance to tell hundreds more that it’s her birthday! We then went over to COP and got right on, I really wanted the kids to see this because I don’t know how much longer it will be around and when they will be closing it again. We decide to skip Buzz and head over to Adventureland. Got on the POC after waiting 20 minutes or so and then to Aladdin Carpets, another 20 minutes. Little DD slows down on telling people it's her birthday but I’m sure it’s because most of the park must know this by now!
It was then time for our 5:45pm PS at LTT. We checked in at 5:50pm and had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. When we got to the table we find it is decorated with red, white and blue streamers and Mickey confetti in honor of the birthday girl! What a nice surprise! Our waitress was very efficient and got the drinks, salad and rolls out right away. The characters came around and we really enjoyed all of the attention they gave to the girls and how nice they all were. The dinner came out and it was absolutely delicious! Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and green beans. Everything was so good and we were stuffed! I had ordered a cake in advance and when dinner was finished they brought it out with a candle and all sang Happy Birthday! Our little DD was so surprised and happy by all of this, she really enjoyed it! All of the characters came by several times. There was plenty of interaction and picture taking opportunities. This was a wonderful meal we all enjoyed very much. I would highly recommend the character dinner at LTT!
After dinner we check on the Haunted Mansion line and the wait is manageable. We waited about 15 minutes or so. Afterwards we head up to find a spot for Spectromagic and Wishes. We all had a wonderful day and we were able to fit in most everything we wanted to accomplish in spite of the crowds. We got on the bus to head back to the hotel and the kids are passed out in two minutes flat! Oldest DD finds comfort on the shoulder of the sleeping girl sitting next to her! Too funny-her Mom and us all get a chuckle out of this and I take a picture of them to show her someday! ;) We all had a great day today at MK!:)

Glad the girl your DD was sitting next too was a good sport :)
