I was checking out threads and read about someone making cup a soup in the hotel room and got to wondering what do other people do for quick snacks and late night meal in the hotel when they are too tired to go out? we are visiting in January and staying at CCI so we will have a fridge, but some nights when we travel everyone just wants to go back to the hotel and eat and rest for the evening.

Pick up dinner and bring it back to the hotel is what we normally do. You can always bring a loaf of bread and make sandwiches. Chips in a can travel well too.

Or have dinner delivered. There are a few places that are more than happy to do this for you.

Also- the fridge in CCI is not that big and does not have a temperature control. Keep that in mind. Our water bottles were cool the next morning, but not cold like we would have liked them.

I have made the kraft EZ Mac for my boys.. Super easy all you need is water and a spoon!

Well, luckily the CCI is right next to a 7-11, so it would be very easy and fast to grab something there and take it back to the room.

We've also ordered out, and that worked out well for us, but if you're too tired or hungry to wait the 40-60 minutes for the food to be delivered, then go for the 7-11. I'm sure you've been in a similar type of quick stop before, so you'll have an idea of what things they have available for food and drinks.:thumbsup2

In the past we have had bagels and cream cheese, bread, lunchmeat and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, chips, cheese and crackers, cereal and milk, microwave mac and cheese, uncrustables, and fruit.

We do cereal and oatmeal as well as what others have mentioned.
Sometimes we're just too tired to have anything else...
I get the cereal "bowls" at GFS, you can find them at Target too.
I also get oatmeal this way and can find them at Walmart. (Already to just pour the milk/hot water into.)
They travel well in a suitcase too.

What is CCI??? All of these are good ideas BTW! Also, this last time we ordered pizza and salads.:cutie:

This is a great idea. For our next trip in December, I will be bringing some food and ordering groceries to be delivered to the hotel. Sometimes it is nice to have simple food instead of all that theme park food.

Because DLR doesn't open until 10am (earlier on EE mornings) we are bringing cereal, oatmeal and granola for the mornings. That way we can eat a semi-nutrious meal before the park opens and not have to waste time standing in line at Blue Ribbon Bakery.

Someone posted awhile ago that they stop at BRB on the way out of DL the night BEFORE and pick up breakfast treats for the next morning. I think we will do some of this too.

Too bad Krispy Kream's doesn't deliver...they'd make a killing at the hotels around DL. :lmao:
