Quickest way to MK from WL

Oct 7th (Sun) we are hoping to finally make it into the Magic Kingdom. Whats the quickest way to get there from Wilderness Lodge? Does the bus start before the boat? I heard the boat doesnt start till 830am - that wont get us to rope drop. The boat sounds like a better idea on the way back or on a day when we're not off to the races. Also if we are at Wilderness Lodge will they tell us if the Magic Kingdom is closed to anymore visitors? We are also hoping to get into the park on Sat of Columbus Day for SpectroMagic. Thanks for your help.

I personally like the boat. you can also try the ferry to the contemp and get on the monorail that way. the ferry goes earlier than that. in fact we used it for an EE day and it was before 8 am cause a bunch of us met there to use it!

The buses will be running by 7:00. Sometimes a bit earlier. They start leaving from their overnight parking area around 6:30.
