We have a 9:00 breakfast reservation and I'm wondering how to get there without a car. Also, about how long will it take to get there? This will take place during Easter week so I know it will be crowded on the busses. :crazy2:

Bus or Monorail to Transportation center, then walk to the Poly.

We stayed at the Poly a few months ago and it is a less than 5 minute walk from the Transportation Center to The Main Longhouse where Ohana is.

Buses to the transportation center usually seem to make the least frequent stops. If you try to bus to the Poly directly there is a good chance that you will also stop at Comtemp and or GF.

Go to ourlaughingplace.com and click on the transportation wizard to see all routes and travel times between various locations around wdw, including resorts.

I would probably take a bus to MK (in the AM probably the most frequent bus) and jump on the mono-rail to Poly.

I don't believe bus runs to Trans Ctr from BCV.

Thanks for all the great ideas! I will check out ourlaghingplace.com. I've never heard of it. Should we start out an hour ahead of time? Or will we be cutting it too close? This is our first trip (out of 18) without a rental car and we have a teenager with us who will want to sleep as late as possible::yes:: The more I think about it, I wonder if Easter week without the rental car will be a disaster

I'd do a taxi for that time. That way no significant delays and no stress. Otherwise allow at least an hour to 1.5 hours and assume it'll take you 45 minutes.

Can I expect to pay around $20 for a cab ride to The Poly? Just trying to plan this out and thanks for everyone's help.:)

It has been a year or so since we used a taxi from the Boardwalk area to Poly, but it was under $18 then. I would definitely plan to use a taxi--it is worth saving all that time, especially at Easter season.

:) thanks! I would much rather pay for the cab than hope for a quick bus ride at Easter! I know just how crowded it will be!::yes::
