Quickest Routes to FOP & SDD at RD

Does anyone have any info on best method at rope drop as far as route and which side to be on at gates etc? I know they open the parks earlier than listed & to be there 1-1.5 hours in advance but just wondering best route once we are in. Thanks!

Just to follow up, how early are they letting in crowds for a 8:00am opening. Looking for recent experience since crowds have been up in October.
