We are sending out a package to POP today...we are arriving Saturday. Anyway, we are sending a pack of diapers, a pack of wipes, and the swim diapers. Anything else I should include that would just be taking up space in our suitcase?

Not sure how old but formula, juice boxes, little snacks, (goldfish crackers etc.), breakfast bars or cereal.

hand wipes, sunblock, any "tink gifts" you might have, zip lock bags sandwich and gallon, travel sized items, cheap rain ponchos from dollar store, small tissues from dollar store, goldfish, pretzels, disposable bibs, laundry detergent (tiny kind)disposable stuff you know you will use and not bring back, box of life cereal or kix...I mailed a baby diaper box full of stuff and had a ton in there!

Definitely snacks and ziplock bags. We went through so many ziplock bags on our trips! Also, dishwashing detergent and a bottle brush if you are planning to get the refillable mugs.

applesauce cups and plastic spoons, a jar of PB and plastic knives (buy a loaf of bread in the gift shop), I 2nd the ziplocs, I packed sandwich and gallon sizes and used both.

The little crystal light packets, target's house brand in strawberry lemonade is our favorite. We would refill a couple of the big 24oz water bottles every night and add this to disguise the taste of the tap water. Put 'em in the fridge and have a nice cold drink waiting when you get back to the room in the afternoon/evening.

we also packed a box of cereal and some plastic bowls, pop tarts, and granola bars. While it helped save $$ over buying breakfast every morning, the real savings was in TIME! We'd have never made it for park openings without eating breakfast in the room.

mister fans if you have them already, they are ackward in a suitcase.

Why would you need ziplock bags? I am going in October with our DD who will be 13 months at that time. I hve been to Disney many times but not with kids....

I used the ziplock bags to seperate things in the backpack/diaper bags. I'd put an extra set of clothes or two for DD in one, diapers in another, sunscreen in another, disposable sippy cups in another, etc.. I used smaller ziplock bags for snacks. I also used a small ziplock bag for the remote control (a tip I learned on these boards!). I guess the remote control in a hotel room is one of the dirtiest objects in the room, so I read that someone just popped the remote in a ziplock bag. DD's favorite toys are probably remote controls and cell phones so a ziplocked remote was a good thing for us.

Our "unmentionables" are packed in large ziplock bags. I've seen too many bags getting searched @ the airport & I prefer that my items are intact.

Can anyone bring me up to speed on shipping boxes to WDW?

1)Specifically, wonder how early to do so (how long will the desk hold box)?

2)what method of shipping do you use?

3)Anyone ship "free" w/rewards from Staples yet? Assume, you'd follow the guideline for the above. Have read posts that it only takes 2 business days?
TIA

We try to keep ziplock baggies with us when we go to the parks to put our camera or cell phone in. We put them in the baggies when we ride a water ride then they go back in our waistpack no worries of them getting wet. :wave2:

ziplocs are great for organization, but also for the waterproofing. either from water rides or an unexpected rain shower. I sometimes had a spare outfit with me for the girls. I made sure the autograph books were in a ziploc. I also used them to carry PB sandwiches into the park for DD.

shipping a box:

I shipped my box via UPS ground 9 days before we arrived. (Thursday the 13th for a Saturday the 22nd arrival). The box arrived at WDW on Tuesday the 18th. Cost was $16.95 for a 21.5# box.
