Quick Weekend at Pop ?'s

I am looking at a quick trip Dec 2cnd - Dec 5th. 3 nights 4 days. Was thinking of trying Pop Century. We have to stay at a Value Resort and we're fine with that because we aren't pool people, nor do we spend much time in our room.

Three quick questions?

I know this is a slow weekend. How far in advance do I need to book it to be sure I get it?

Can I request a specific decade? We really want to stay in the 80's block!

Can I request a room with a king bed, as my boyfriend is really tall and is just more comfy having a larger than full bed?

I'd book it as soon as you can... Although it may be a slow week for most other resorts, Pop Century tends to attract a lot of Florida Residents on the weekends. So for us, my guess is that it will be a busy weekend, with all the FLR's coming down to see the Holiday decorations.

Requesting the 80's is certainly possible, but not guaranteed, especially if you want a king bed room. There are only so many king bed rooms in the 80s, so you might want to rank your preferences. (ie: would you rather have a king bed in the 50's, or standard doubles in the 80s)

One thing to note... I'm 6'2" and was aprehensive about the size of the double beds. I don't fit on standard doubles, my feet hang off. However, I was pleasently surprised when I fit just fine on the ones at Pop Century when I stayed there.

Also, one thing to note... some of the king bed rooms are accesibility rooms, meaning they have a wheelchair accessible roll in shower, instead of the standard tub/shower combo. Not a big deal for most, but some do want that tub.

Thanks I just booked. I can't wait. Now I just have to wait SO long.

The CM I spoke to requested 80's , king & non smoking for me, so we'll hope for the best. Even if we don't get what we want, it is just the hotel and we'll be spending the vast majority of our time out having fun
