Quick Visa Reward related ?s-Update w/more ?s

I just switched my Chase Visa Reward debit card to the Chase Visa Disney Reward debit card. My card should be here Tues or Wed. I'd like to know if the offer out now is available for the times we could travel and would like an official quote. Can I call and get a quote for the Visa discount w/o a card number? I know I need the card to reserve because the deposit must be paid with THAT card, but can I just get it priced out w/o it?

Yes, you can call and get them to quote it without having the card in hand. Also they will put it on hold for you for 7 days.....and when you get the card, you can call and pay the deposit!

I also just got the Disney Visa Debit card....everytime I use it I keep thinking...Disney money! LOL

Thanks so much! I didn't know they'd hold for the Visa offers, too. I thought those deposits had to be made right away.

I'm actually taking a hit with the reward system, I earn a lot of cash with my current rewards. But we switched one of the cards over just so we can get the offers when they do come out and we spend a lot of money on the Disney things that they offer discounts for, so we'll save there.

OK, after making my ressie, she told me the hold is only for 24 hours, so I'll have to call tomorrow and cancel and try again in a few days. Which is fine with me because:

1) She told me we had to finish the vacation before the 14, or we wouldn't get the discount for the rest of the trip. I just don't think I trust this because I know with other package deals you just have to check in by the end of the promo.

2) She left off my 11 yo son which is the only child out of our five that we'd have to pay for!!! It kind of affects the price.

Has anyone extended their trip past 8/14 with this offer? TIA

Disney caught up with us and how we were planning our trips. We can no longer come on the last day of a promotion and get it for the entire trip. The new way is that your promotional rate is only good and it will stop at the end of the day on Aug. 14th. I think to stay longer and keep the promotional rate on part of your trip you would have to make two reservations.

Sorry I can't help with question #2. I really don't get it.

My understanding with the offer through Disney Visa you might have to make a deposit then but they could have change it. You could call Disney Visa & asked for the number if they will do that. I know when I got my card they were able to give it to me over the phone but now days might have changed Good luck !

I called back this morning and got a GREAT CM. She said she'd try it and see what happens. She was able to get the offer for the entire stay 8/14-8/21.

The deposit does need to be made immediately with the rewards card, though. So she just switched my ressie from september to the new dates with all the package components and told me to call back in a few days when I have my card and they'll apply the code. So, I have my deposit from the September ressie to hold it for now and I'll make a second deposit with my new card and they'll switch the ressie and apply the payments from my other ressie to the new ressie balance as well. She put me on hold for several minutes to check with a manager to make sure that would work.

But she COULD get me a ressie for the offer for the entire stay checking in on the last day, just couldn't hold it w/o the card. I got the quote though, and the price difference was just under $1200. That's for 7 of us w/2 value rooms, PH, and QSDP, 2 adultis and one kid adult (11yo) and 4 more kids.
