Quick trip to MK- most efficient (non-monorail) resort transportation?

We will be doing a quick 3 day trip with a Magic Kingdom focus in December with plans to attend MVMCP. Unfortunately the monorail resorts are out of our budget. Which non-monorail resort has the easiest/quickest transportation to and from MK? We'd consider splurging on one of the less expensive rooms at Wilderness Lodge if it's much easier than the moderate/value resorts but I've read that WL transportation can be slow/inefficient. Thanks!

The boat to MK from WL takes less than 10 minutes. We have never waited more than 15 minutes for a boat, usually under 10 minutes.. Very efficient. We are returning in December.

The bus to MK is usually pretty good too. We've stayed there twice and used the bus a lot to/from MK and it was great, but sometimes it shared with other resorts and sometimes it didn't, so I'm not sure what determined that. Sorry I'm so vague! Maybe the WL thread would have updated info about that! I do know sometimes my family would split up and "race" bus vs. Boat and bus usually won! Although the boat was a more pleasant way to travel... We really enjoyed the WL!

I have read that POFQ is good because they are a small resort with one bus stop.

Out of the three resorts we've stayed at (POFQ, CSR, and ASMo), CSR has definitely had the best transportation. POFQ and ASMo both share with their sister resorts sometimes, but CSR doesn't share buses ever. There are multiple stops, but the buses were extremely efficient while we were there, and we rarely waited more than a few minutes for a bus.

We did this exact trip last year for both the Halloween and Christmas parties. Stayed at WL both times and had no issues at all with the boats. It was well worth staying there to be so close after the party. There never seemed to be the crowds traveling to and from the hotel like the other resorts.

We stayed at WL with a room close to the boat so that was the easiest way to get to/from MK. We were at the end of the north wing and just took the stairs down and popped out right along the path to the boat. I must say that taking the boat to MK was a wonderful way to start and end your day. It was so peaceful and relaxing.

If we just missed a boat to MK or it had a really long line and a boat to the Contemporary was there, we would hop on that and wall over the MK too.

WL transportation only becomes an issue when you are going to parks other than MK, IMHO.

If WL is still out of your budget and you are willing to take uber, you can simply take ubers back and forth from CR and walk to MK (or uber to GF and take the monorail from there).
