Just being quick. Arrived at Kidani on the 4th. Nice resort.. but doubt we'll be back, unless we have a severe point shortage. Just remember we didn't like the Beach Club either.
We got a 1BR std view on an AP discount and it was in a great location just off the lobby. Room was ready at 10am. Plenty of public viewing areas for the animals, but the pool heater was broken. No one had a straight answer to when it would be fixed (and I do realize this isn't resort specific) The frontdesk didn't know the heater was broken, the lifeguards said it would be fixed on Saturday, someone else said the parts would only be ordered this Saturday. They gave us quite the credit when we politely stated how disappointed we were. Unfortunately we were booked into a 2BR for the rest of the week but we weren't feeling the "magic" at Kidani, so on Sat night at 5pm I called member services from a payphone in DTD and switched to a 2BR at SSR (our home, and favorite resort). Room was ready at 11:30am (when we checked in) and it feels more like home, or at least we feel like we're on vacation now.
I (or my wife) could pinpoint what we didn't like about Kidani, but it felt a bit more hectic to us and everything seemed to be smaller, except the rooms. Maid was outside our room waiting at 9:30am and kept asking us if we were all checked out or not as we took multiple loads of luggage down to the car. Buses were fine, but we forgot how long it can take to get places. Sanaa was fine.. but I think we'll stick to Jambo next time.
