For Breakfast? Lunch and Dinner? And Reviews?

We made a VERY last minute decision to go there for 2 days and I cant get any good reservations that make sense at the poly or MK that day so we decided to wing it but I am not super familiar with the quick service restaurants....
where have you eaten each of these meals that were good? or is there a link with menus?

For breakfast-
  • Sleepy Hollow- I hear wonderful things about the nutella and fruit waffles!
  • Gaston's Tavern- I ate there for breakfast on my last trip and it didn't wow me (except for the Lefou's Brew!), but most people enjoy the cinnamon rolls there.
For lunch/dinner-
  • BoG lunch- SO GOOD! Had a great turkey sandwich and he grey stuff IS delicious!
  • Tortuga Tavern- They've recently taken the taco salad off the menu, but it was a favorite.
  • Columbia Harbour House- Awesome, unique, delicious food.

Breakfast-Mickey waffles from the Contempo Cafe
Lunch-Be Our Guest-Turkey Sandwich with an Orange Eclair!
Dinner-Cosmic Rays (chicken) or Columbia Harbor House (hummus sandwich) or Tortuga Tavern (burrito), depending on my mood...

Never eaten qs breakfast in mk but lunch and dinner i suggest pinocchio village haus, columbia harbour house, and cosmic rays. BOG will probably be not doable this trip.

I don't waste valuable low crowd early morning time at MK with breakfast. I'll usually eat a bagel or granola bar, and then plan an early CS lunch. My fave is Columbia Harbour House, and it opens between 10:30-11 am. We're rope droppers, and are always ready for an early lunch after the early start!

I agree with eating breakfast on your room so as not to waste time. However if you didn't try the Cinnamon roll at Gaston's Tavern it is amazing and makes a great snack to share.

We always eat breakfast in the room or on the go. BOG for lunch was great we went twice last trip. The rest of the QS are OK, you can always find something to eat.

Columbia Harbor House is great--and different. BOG would be first choice, but probably not doable if it's a last minute trip. We're going to take a stroll over to Contemporary this trip and try Contempo Cafe for a lunch. Menu looks really good and I've heard good things about it.

We'll avoid Cosmic Ray's at all costs!!! I know it gets lots of good press here, but I think most of that has to do with quantity and not quality. We literally threw away most of our four meals because the food was inedible--and we're not that picky!

If you do want to try to do a TS somewhere, Trail's End at the campground has a nice buffet and it's only a boat ride away from MK. Or there's also Grand Floridian or Contemporary on the monorail--no need to limit to just the Poly.

I liked the roasted chicken at Cosmic Rays. A nice non fried option. My issue with Ray's is their having a different line for burgers vs. chicken. What a pita that is if you don't have another adult with you or a child old enough to line up and order. Unless everyone wants burgers or everyone wants chicken, it's a logistical mess.

This is a great questions and I was wondering the same thing myself! Thanks!

Completely agree with this. We did not like Cosmic Ray's food at all. We also ditched most of our food (we ate the fries cause we were really hungry) - dh ate his food but didn't care for it either.
We all LOVED Columbia Harbor House. The food was really really good and we do plan a trip or 2 back for our next trip.
