Got back lastnight - quick reviews of meals. Stayed at Shades of Green.
Table Service:
Cape May Clambake
Chefs de France
The Plaza Restaurant
Narcoosee's
San Angel Inn
Shades of Green Buffet
Evergreens
Counter Service:
Pecos Bills
Cosmic Rays
Tamu Tamu
MGM Marketplace
Clambake - gone down hill- less selections than before. Food not really hot. Won't rush back again.
Chefs de France - Lunch - Excellent. Very good service. Two in our party had the French menu - I had the Alsacienne Tart and French Onion Soup. Excellent! Definitely going back.
The Plaza Restaurant - Lunch - Has never failed to disappoint us. Hasn't changed over the years. Good ruebens and salads. Nice break from the action.
Narcoosees - To die for. Our new favorite restaurant. Better than Yachtsman Steakhouse. Appetizers, entrees and desserts were the best. Great view of fireworks. Ends up the chef is from where I live. We always splurge for one "great" meal and this did not disappoint.
San Angel Inn - Took a break from this restaurant for several years and now it will be several decades before I would even consider it. Some of the food was unreconizable. The chicken enchilada on my combination platter was unrecognizable. My friend had the pollo las rajas. It was a piece of tough old bird - very dry on a mound of slop.
Shades of Green Buffet - Breakfast - For the price ample selections and good food. Make you own Belgium waffles.
Dinner - Ate at the seafood buffet. Crab legs and shrimp were excellent.
Counter services - Stay away from Tamu Tamu in Animal Kingdom. I was the only one to order a hamburger there and it was unrecognizable. I asked if it was a hamburger and the service person said yes. Took one taste and in the garbage can it went.
Pecos Bills was good as usual - Fixings bar excellent.
Cosmic Rays - Needed help on fixings bar - onions and mushrooms were empty. Never filled while there.
MGM marketplace - burgers, pizza and salad good.
Also had a baked potato at MK in Liberty Square. Nice change of pace of a lunch - potatos are very big.
That's it in a nutshell.
