Here now and ate at Sanaa for lunch and Jiko for dinner last t night. Got to get ready for HS but wanted to share my thoughts. We weren't blown away by Jiko. It was very good and if you are on the fence about dining here I would still recommend it.We were sat in a small back room with very little ambiance. The wild boar app was really good. The Taste of Africa was good ( but Sanna's was much better). DH and I both got the Filet with mac and cheese. His was very tender and excellent, mine was acceptable but a little strigy. We both ordered them medium and they were med rare. The mac and cheese . ...........didn't like it. No flavor and dry. Neither of us ate it. The malva pudding dessert was delicious, the avocado dessert ( forgot the name), was good but a little odd tasting. The tea at the end of the meal was the best part got me. High quality and very relaxing. Service was excellent. Perfect, actually. With two glasses of wine, our bill was right around $200. Sanaa for lunch was excellent all around. Great atmosphere. The restaurant was very busy so service was slow but understandable considering the crowds. We got the breads with all dips for an app, then shared the short rib and spicy shrimp with jasmine rice dish. For dessert we shared the trio. We got one smoothie here and the bill was just over $50 I think. Will definitely return.

Great reviews! I have been to both and prefer Sanaa hands down!

We love Sanaa! It turned out to be my favorite meal on our the last trip.

We ate at Sanaa at an odd time - 2:45 and had the place to ourselves. Great restaurant. We had the vegetarian sampler and the bread service. My daughter enjoyed watching the animals while we ate.

Great to hear!:goodvibes Going to Sanaa for the first time with my hubby and some friends in Feb.
I booked a late lunch so we could see all the animals and the prices were more reasonable too.
We do plan to do the bread service! I can't wait!!!

Thank you!

Tried Sanaa as a solo diner during a business trip last February, and loved it so much that I brought my husband during our one day at Disney pre-cruise in December! We generally try not to repeat Disney restaurants (so many to try!), but Sanaa was so good that it merited a second visit. I notice that you got the short ribs when you were there for lunch, but when we visited for dinner in December, the short ribs were not an option :( I was sad because the butter chicken/short rib combo was amazing. Definitely love this place - one of our favorites. Good to know that we shouldn't be too tempted to visit Jiko instead.

We had no complaints with Jiko, but were not 'wow'd' either.

Like you, we felt we had a better overall experience at Sanaa and at a lesser cost too. The Savannah makes it more 'family-friendly'.

We have even thought to go to Sanaa for lunch even when staying at another resort......we thought about it.
