We'll be landing at 1 pm at MCO, and I really don't want to spend the money (nor time) at the airport for lunch. Any quick stop-offs along the highway between MCO and Disney World?

TIA!

Offhand I can't think of anyplace along the route that would be easier than picking something up at the airport. Certainly there are many dozen restaurants in the few miles between the airport and Disney but you'd have to get off an exit and seek them out - there are no service centers on SR 417 or SR 528 or I-4 that you could just pull into. Best bet - if you're dead-set against getting anything at the airport - might be to check where you'll get off the highway for your hotel or resort and see what's nearby for eateries (Google Maps will show what's there.)

If you are taking the south route out of the airport AKA 417 get off at S Orange Blossom Trail. Which is one or two exit from Disney. There you will find many fast food as well as sit down places. There is also a Super Target there if you need to pick up last minute items. We usually get off here and eat at Steak n Shake which is right off the exit ramp. Get off the highway. As you stop at the traffic light at the end of the ramp it will be right in front of you. Just take the straight lane across the roadway. Lunch usually cost $14.00 for the two of us. Much cheaper than the airport.

This is exactly what we do every year. A quick Target stop for provisions, then Steak and Shake for a to-go lunch. We eat on the way to Pop, check-in, then off to MK.

There is a Chickfilet (however it is spelled LOL) at an exit off 417 also.

Chick-fil-A. I think that's the one that's off exit 11 on Orange Blossom Trail in front of the Home Depot. However, if you're coming in on a Sunday please be aware that Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays (even the one at the airport). :)
