We have a party of 9, and couldn't book reservations for that amount

We have a Be Our Guest Lunch, one reservation for 8 people and one reservation for one person, both at the same time. Will they just bring a chair up to the table if we ask?

Similar question, but instead its a Liberty Tree Tavern dinner with one party of 5 and one party of 4. We have a similar arrangement at 50s prime time Cafe over in Hollywood Studios.

I know it doesn't hurt to ask the host about seating together, but will they just laugh off our requests?

Your request will never be laughed off. You mayor may not be accomodate do as a party of 9. Be prepared to be separated at any restaurant, even if you have an ADR for the entire party. It has happened on several occasion for my family. With that said, I have had to book two separate ADR's to manage all of us, and have been seated together. Ou never know.

At BOG lunch you seat yourself, so you won’t have an issue sitting together there unless there aren’t any tables large enough (and in that case you could wait a few minutes for someone to clear out).

At the other restaurants, ask. It’s a common request. You may have to wait a little to be accommodated but they will try.
