I am an associate member on a DVC membership and I tried to purchase the discounted annual pass offer and I was told that I was not able to purschase an annual pass at a discount as a member because I am only an associate member does anyone know if this is true?
Yes that is true. Associate members can make reservations but are not entitled to any of the membership perks.
However, members can purchase APs/PAPs for immediate family members who live in the same household. If you live with the DVC member who has added you as an associate and are a spouse, sibling, parent or child of the member, then they can purchase an AP for you. However, they must present their DVC member card and you must present a photo ID proving you live at the same address when you go to pick up the AP/PAP.
The only problem is that my parents who are the members are not going because my father had a minor stroke and can not go, if I brought his card with me would we be able to do it or does he have to be there in person ? Thanks for the reply
