wife and daughter are going to first Lion King show this morning. What time should they arrive to make sure they get seats?

30 min before the show is more than plenty. We usually walk up after the door is open and get in, even in the summer

Unless you are there during holiday season you can arrive 10 minutes early and get a seat no problem. Speaking of seats, my favorite ones are the top row of the short stands.

Yes, unless you really must sit closer to the front (not really necessary in that theater), then you don't need to arrive too early. 10 minutes is well enough to get a seat.

From what I remember, they fill up a section at a time. So getting there early wouldn't even necessarily guarantee you a seat on the front. Or you could be in the back 1/4 of the line and get on the front of the last section. I know we were way back in line and ended up on the second row.

I didn't know. I guess I always come in with the last wave because I arrive later, so I don't see the loading process. The theater set-up doesn't really necessitate sitting in the front unless you want your kids to volunteer with the hosts.
