Quick question - how soon can we start using the dining plan after check-in?

We're considering using the DDP for the first time. We will be staying at the CR on cash for two nights, then moving to BCV on DVC points. If we check into the BCV early in the morning, will our DDP be "activated" right then? I mean, if we book a late character breakfast for say, 10:30 a.m., and check in at 9:00 a.m., can we use the DDP right away?

TIA! :)

absolutely.

The moment you get your keys, you can start using the DDP.

When we checked into the BC, our room wasn't ready and we used the DDP to have lunch at the BC marketplace - no problems.

I believe that as soon as your room card is activated if you purchase the d.p. it should work right away. We've checked in before and walked over to the resort food court and ate right away with it:thumbsup2

Yes, as soon as you receive your card, it's activated. We arrived at GF last yr at noon, dropped bags at our room, and used the card for lunch at 12:30.

We went from a room only reservation to an AP with Dining Plan at All Star Movies last month and we used our new KTTW cards for breakfast at the food court as soon as we got our KTTW cards at 8AM the morning we switched.
