On our recent trip, I took my first sip of coffee at the Crystal Palace breakfast and was instantly taken back 2 years to our breakfast at Cindy's. I love the coffee at WDW!!! I had forgotten how great it was. Anyway, I asked our server about it and she said it was Nescafe (I should have known, with Disney's deal with Nestle). A few minutes later, she brought out one of those industrial coffee bags to show me. It certainly looked like one of the types of bags you put in a large coffee maker and BREW!

In the 6 weeks since returning from our trip, I have scoured the earth (actually, just my corner of it) in search of Nescafe that is not instant. I have never been an instant coffee fan, and would truly be shocked if the coffee they serve at WDW is instant.

Can anyone help with this? Is there such a thing as non-instant Nescafe? Or do they actually serve instant coffee at WDW? Help! :confused3

There is such a thing as non-instant Nescafe. And, no offence, everyone has different tastes, most people I've heard from dislike the taste of it. (A former neighbor used to be the production manager of the food services at a hospital and that's what they were switched to. The docs hated it and let her know that in a very unpleasant way.)

Anyway, if you can't find it in a store check with a food distributor, like the kind that would deliver to a hospital, restaurant supply, that sort of place.

This is a first. No offense - but I have NEVER (in almost 7 years on these boards) seen ANYONE say ANYTHING GOOD about WDW coffee. Do a search on "coffee" if you don't believe me.

In fact, I almost didn't open this thread, assuming it was along the lines of, "Is it possible to get a good cup of coffee anywhere at WDW or is it all that yucky Nescafe?"

No offense. I'm just shocked. I guess it just proves that there's something for everyone and everyone really is different in their tastes. :confused3

I'm surprised as well. I'm so used to the WDW coffee haters.

I don't love the coffee, but I don't absolutely hate it. I actually drink a lot of it because I get the refillable mug. I just look at it as another aspect of my Disney vacation. I know I'm at Disney when I'm drinking Nescafe.

Sorry, can't answer your question. I thought all Nescafe was instant.

I hate disney's coffee so much. LOL. I am going next week and I have already packed a bag of good coffe and flavored coffee creamer in my suitcase.

Me too! Disney coffee is :crazy2: to say the least!

Wow! This is a first. I have heard anyone say they liked WDW coffee! :faint:

Nescafe only comes in instant. Enjoy.

Me, I'm packing for next week too. Starbucks Italian Roast.

I was so excited to see the name of your thread - I came prepared to bash Disney's coffee as I and so many DISers have done in the past....and then I read your post and your actually like Disney coffee...oh so you're the one LOL.

I respect your right to like Disney coffee, just as I'd expect you do to the same for me and my hate for it.

We are going in about 2 months and that is the one part of my trip that I am actually dreading, THE COFFEE - however, I discovered that the GF does not use Nescafe so I always get a cup when we are hotel hopping or having dinner w/ Cindy

*dies* This thread is going to last until saturday and someone is going to jump out and post "April Fools", right? RIGHT?!

No offense, OP, I just can't understand how ANYONE can think that sludge tastes good!! :crazy2:

Are you wearing any green? Keep your eyes open for me..I'll be with DH,the little boy in my sig and a 12 YO girl

The Coffee At The Kona Cafe Is Very Good. Several Restaurants Have The Pressed Pot Coffee Which Is Also Good.

Okay, at the risk of being made a fool of on April 1, I will have to admit that WDW coffee doesn't bother me at all. As a matter of fact, I can't understand why everyone hates it so much. It certainly isn't my favorite, but I would drink it before I would drink that sludge known as Starbuck's(I love their other drinks, just refuse to drink the stuff straight).

As far as the instant vs brewing thing goes, I would bet that Nescafe makes coffee for larger places like theme parks, restaurants, hospitals, etc. I despise instant coffee and the stuff they serve at WDW doesn't taste anything close to instant(nor does it taste like good ol' diner coffee, which is my favorite).

......I'll be peeking out from behind my rock in anticipation of April 1st :teeth:

ITA! I was shocked to see that someone likes it! It's the first person I've ever talked to. I'm sure we've all made the OP feel self conscious, I promise it's all in good fun :teeth: It's just a running joke on this board to poke fun at the Disney coffee as most really don't like it.

OMG is THAT why the coffee at 1900 Park Fare dinner was good? I thought "hmm why don't I hate this like before?" Then the next morning I had coffee somewhere else, reality check. ACK
To the OP: Maybe a DISer who is going soon could take the packet from the room and mail it to you. Otherwise you could check the Nescafe website for a contact us part and shoot them an email to see where you can purchase the coffee locally or if you can order it online :confused3

The coffee at Kona Cafe and the little snack area outside of the Kona Cafe area (don't know name of it)...Also, BOMA has good coffee.

This thread is hilarious :D My wife and I won't even try drinking coffee when we are away from home anymore... It's always terrible... Though for some reason any place that makes horrible hot coffee, usually makes fantastic chillers :?

We are going to make an exception on this trip... Since Kona Cafe has 100% Kona Coffee we are going to give that a shot... On our first trip to Hawaii, I fell in love with Kona coffee... It very hard to find in Australia, and very expensive, so I drink it whenever I get a chance...

Good luck with your search for your favourite coffee... I hope it's cheaper than Kona coffee :)

WOW! You never know what in a thread. Thought this was the same-O-same I hate the coffee at WDW.

Goes to show for everyone of us that can't stand the coffee there's someone who LOVES it.

Guess that why there's so many brands in the stores. I keep wondering why I paying $7.00 a pound for coffee. Then I try another brand that on sale and remember.

If you can't find the coffee in the stores, you could always plan another trip to Disney.

This may be a first. I'm going to Disney so I can get a good cup of coffee.

Maybe it time to try some of those restaurants that everyone says are awful.

My worst coffee has been from room service at CR.

I have thought that all other has been fine. I just don't think it is that bad.

Fav's though...the Italy kiosk at Epcot,
Kona cafe
Bakery at MK
the pressed at AKL is waaaaay too strong for me, but if you like strong and I mean strong, that is the place to go.

I guess we are oddballs..we love the coffee at WDW as well. Friends bring their own coffeemaker and coffee. We take their extra packets....

I guess there are many different kinds in the world. Glad to see this thread is good natured about differences. There are quite a few more on these boards that aren't so understanding !
