soooooo we leave in less than two weeks to DL! WOO!:woohoo:

i have an 18 month old son, and usually, we take a van for our road trips, but this time we are taking our car, and his stroller might not fit (i pack waaaaay too much  )

so my question is, if you rent a stroller in DL, can you take it into DCA with you? or do you have to buy a new one in DCA??

thanks!:)

You can take the rentals through the esplanade to the other park, yes. You cannot take them into DTD, and will need to either leave it right there as you exit into DTD (and it might be there when you get back) or return it but keep your receipt if you're going to another park later.

The big question is, is this a one-day trip? If so that plan is fine. But if you're going there and staying overnight at any other hotel but GCH (or DLH *if* you're always planning on entering and exiting via the monorail and therefore won't have long to walk to the hotel), I would try to make room for your own. Babies and toddlers and even young non-toddlers get *heavy* when you're trudging towards the car or the hotel, and turning in that rental stroller can become a literal pain in the back! :)

Hmmm, let me see now, I have not needed any strollering for quite a long time, now, but I know, that I would not mind be strollererd around the parks when my feet are starting to become tired, so do they come in jumbo sizes? he he!

Yay! only two weeks to go! I hope that you and your family have a great time! and may there be zero long lines, and may you all have a nice cool breeze to your facials, I know that I don't like the heat, I just about died once or twice last month! (sigh)

oh how i wish they had adult sized strollers! how nice would that be?! and it could recline and you could take a nap right there in DL like the kiddos do! hahaha

and thanks for the well wishes:goodvibes you're very sweet:) yes only two more weeks! im hoping for nice cool weather too...im sooo ready for fall and sooo excited to see DL decorated!

Only 2 more weeks.. I'm so jealous! So, we're taking our maclaren volo, it's light weight and easy to fold. Have you thought about maybe finding a cheaper compact one you can fit in the car? I think it might be worth it so you don't have to purchase one everyday and worry about having it to use outside the park. I've seen umbrella strollers at BRU and places like that for under $20 or maybe check craigslist?

Yeah, they are called ECV's:laughing: *

*No offense to anyone that needs to use one of these. I know that if you didn't have to, then you wouldn't. :flower3:

Seconding the Volo suggestion. I'm not a stroller fan, but for fitness walks and Disney I'm a stroller user, and the Volo served us well on our last trip!

There's a Target nearby, so if you can't bring it and the tall baby is too much to carry after one evening (or going back for naptime), you could head over there and buy something. :)

I was wondering if one was interested in renting an ECV, does one need to be legally disabled?

the stroller i have is pretty compact..not as compact as the umbrella ones though. thats a great idea..thanks! yea i think ive seen some for like $12 at bru...i will definitely get one if i cant fit mine:) that waaaaaaay better than renting one every day!

I was at Disney World in June and shocked to find out that stroller rental was NO longer free with a Disney Visa. In addition, a single stroller had jumped from $10 to $15 for the day. I'm going in December again and shocked again to find a double is now $31 a day, up from $18. My daughter is older, so we can't bring our own. Does anyone else think this is just crazy??????

I really think they have discontinued the Disney Visa free stroller thing at the World. My understanding is that it IS still free at the Land, but not the World. You'll want to know this in advance so you can bring your own or take out a loan for the stroller rental! Yes, I will be complaining all the way through the stroller rental line...... Better a few complaints from me early in the day than from my daughter all day long!

Just keep in mind that the cheap umbrella strollers have xheap wheels and they don't always roll smoothly. We bought a cheaper Jeep version from Wlamart. It was about $30 but the wheels are so much smoother

I'm almost positive the OP IS going to DLR. So, according to your experience it would still be free for her.

Can anyone verify what the currant pricing of strollers at DLR is right now? (I'll need a double if we don't take our own.)
