So the 50 point deal fell through so today on TSS there is a 70 point contract and was wondering if I could get that at a decent price. Having said that it has a February use year and our use year is December. Is that a major concern? We usually travel in April and again in July or August.

Should we consider this or will it be a hassle?

By the way 70 points are not coming until February of 2015 so all 2013 and 2014 points are gone

If you're looking for same resort as your main contract I would definitely wait for same UY. If it's a different resort, it seems like not such a big deal to me.

Even there though, the ability to combine points at seven months for a resort you don't own, without transferring points between two master contracts, would make me lean toward getting the same use year. Easier is usually better.

If you're not in a hurry, I'd just wait it out and find a contract in your UY.

If you're using the two together, it can be a hassle and would require lots of planning ahead.

For example, unless you transfer the points to 1 account, you'll end up with 2 separate reservations. MS wouldn't be able to combine them. If you transfer, and need to borrow points from both contracts, again same problem.

Remember that you have 1 transfer a year, in or out of the account. So moving 70 pts to the other contract eats up the 1 time transfer for both for the year. And transferred points with different UY and/or resorts would not be seen online. You'd have to wait till 9am and call.

For you a Feb use year is better. I have separate UY's and it takes me an extra hour a year at most to manage them. If you travel in August I would use Feb points. It takes a little work but 2 UY aren't bad. The third UY becomes a little more of a hassle esp with small contracts.

Ok last question.....

We love staying at BCV but can never ever get in there so we almost always stay at OKW and SSR. Having said that we did see there are a few 150 point contracts at BCV out there that we would be willing to purchase. So not ony would it be a different use year (april) but a different resort.

Would it be wise to say we would use the 150 for our stays at BCV and the other 200 we have for general stays at SSR and OKW? And worst case scenario if we cannot stay at BCV we can always default to our SSR resort.

Does anyone know what BCV has been passing ROFR at?

First, the thing to remember about a different UY is it is a different membership and you can't use it for a single night without a transfer.

So, for a smaller contract, it could get tricky...I own two UY's but each contract has a good number of points--250 in one and 180 in the other--which allows me to treat each as its own.

But, I will say that to book whole nights, I do sometimes have to borrow from one when I have points in the other. I don't worry about it too much but it is something you would find with a different UY.

With the BCV contract being larger, it may work better as you can book several nights with one that size.

Good luck!

Also the chart above from "That's nice" are those months that BCV was sold at that price or is that use year?

Meaning the contract I am looking at they are asking $98 for BCV and wondering if I offered $75 would it be accepted and more importantly would it pass ROFR, that's what I am trying to understand on the chart.

That's nice how do I read this chart? What does MED stand for?

The chart doesn't look right if you reading from a phone. MED is median price
