I am needing some advice please. We are making our reservations for the end of June and have been placed in loop 100. Is that a good loop? We have a 34 foot motorhome. We have stayed at the campground before about 4 years ago but can't remember our loop. This is only our 2nd trip and really want in a good spot/loop. We are so excited and can't wait to finally go back!
Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions

The 100 Loop is next to the Settlement and Marina. We tried to get in there for years before we gave up for the larger sites a little further away. There may be more foot traffic and noise from the marina, fireworks, water parade, etc, but I would still like to stay there some day.

How did you get assigned a Loop so far out on your reservation, we have never got a loop untill we arrived although we always request one. The 100 loop area is nice, we have stayed in 300 a couple of times..

You really dont get assigned a loop so far out. All you can do is request and hope for the best.

EXAMPLE: You never know when a CHURCH group will come in and want that same loop for themselves , (alltho I always thought that the idea of a CHURCH was to bring new people INTO their fold, not KEEP THEM OUT),,then that loop could be gone. Or a grand gathering etc.

Thanks you! Maybe I misunderstood and was told that was the loop for preferred. I couldn't make up my mind if we should have preferred or premium. Thanks again!

There are actually 3 preferred loops - 100, 200 and 300 (pet). They're all right in a row with 100 being closest to the Marina/Settlement.

Loop 100 is a good loop, they all are in some respects or others. Loop 100 is the place to be if you want to be right in the action. You will hear the boat horns at the marina, the train whistles from MK, the announcements from the Hoop Dee Doo. You will have the shortest walks to the dock, the trading post, and Trail's End. The negatives? Chances are this will be the hardest site you've ever had to get into, but it should be doable for your size rig. You will hear all the noise from the Settlement area. You will also have a lot of foot traffic if you are on the half of the loop that leads to the trading post path. The bath house is not very close if you are in the back half of the loop, it is actually at the front of 200 loop. And, you will be the furthest stop from the front of the campground, where you get the buses to AK, DHS, and Epcot.

This is our first trip to FW - and we will be there the last week of Sept. We requested loop 100 or 200 for our trip. We booked a preferred campsite and we requested to be near the bathhouse as my father in law in his 70's who has a medical condition is joining us. We also requested not to be in the 300 loop as my son is allergic to pets. We only have a pop-up camper so we aren't too large so hopefully compaired to everyone else here we should fit fine but... my question - seeing that there is a lot of foot traffic in that area is it pretty safe leaving things out while we are gone like my DS's bike and all of our camping stuff.

Also... has anyone done FW in a pop-up in late Sept? how was the weather?

thanks

You're as safe leaving stuff out as at any other campground, unfortunately just because it's Disney doesn't mean stuff might not walk away. Anything I can't afford to lose is out of site in the camper or locked to something solid, then you aren't tempting anyone.

As far as the weather, if the popup has a/c, you should be fine, September can be stifling hot! That being said, that is probably when I go back this year, hurricanes, love bugs and all!:thumbsup2
